i suppose this is a big day – i abandoned two day of trying to get the ring trigger to work and worked on the asterisk tts triggers with pd. it works perfectly! i am resigned to not using app_Jack (again – although i have written to the developer to see if he can help) and thus losing elegant audio to handset capabilities – although it may be possible using the tap boxes i still have installed -without the app_jack requirement to run in console mode the ring into the box feature will work again. i wasted half the morning messing =up the file paths yet again which triggered a bunch of errors from python that were highly misleading although they did reveal a tiny error made by the original developers at cereproc. i need to decide on a sensible numbering system for midi note triggers as they are pretty random just now – eg 43 – triggers the qlist generator and the phone to ring – whoops!
