The technical solutions came about as solutions to problems that occurred in the build rather than as part of a plan. As no one, to my knowledge, has attempted anything similar some bodges and crude cutting and pasting of code has occurred. In my defence connecting a telephone from the 1930’s with an exchange from the 1950’s to digital devices from today is likely to require some original and, far from ideal work-arounds.
